Inspire Investment (hereinafter “INSI”) has subscribed a third-party allocation of new shares by FAN JAPAN, inc (hereinafter “Fan Japan”, Headquarters: 1-4-1 Kudan-kita, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Takahiro Gokita)
Fan Japan, with their slogan “From Japan to the World. And, From the World to Japan.”, is providing a value-chain platform service which aims to supports Japanese companies to expand their business to ASEAN market centering from Malaysia
Its Malaysian subsidiary was founded at the same time of their establishment in 2014, and it provides various support including (1) trading operations, (2) test marketing, (3) consulting, (4) channel development, and (5) local store management, which are essential when considering overseas business expansion for companies throughout Japan.
Following the trend of increased budgets from both the national and local governments for the promotion of exportation of Japanese products, the company has been providing comprehensive support for various companies companies to enter the ASEAN region.
With INSI as the lead investor, multiples strategic investors have been co-invested to support the company’s new development into Halal confectionery baking business.
While expextation of “Japan brand” in the global consumer market has been transformed from “Made In Japan” to “Made By Japan” or “Made With Japan,” the company is planning to establish the confectionary factory to produce a wide variety of Japanese quality baked goods through obtaining Halal certification (JAKIM’s certification) in Malaysia where Japanese brands are particularly popular and highly consumed. This nex business will add new chain of value to the existing services by supporting localization for Japanese sweets brands by OEM manufacturing.
In developing this new business, in addition to INSI’s subscription to third-party allocation of new shares, a capital and business alliance has been established with ISHIDA ROHO CO., LTD., a Kyoto OEM confectionary manufacturer with 150 years of history, as a strong business partner for stabilizing good operation practice of confectionary factory.
The first closing the financial round was completed on August 16th, 2019 in which the funds were raised by several local bank affiliated venture capital firms and enterprises in addition to INSI and ISHIDA ROHO.
Along with the investment a board director and a corporate auditor have been assigned to the company from INSI, driving its further growth through all the knowledge and extensive network accumulated by the Inspire Group.
