Okiden C Plus C Commences the Recruitment of Participants for the Cooperative Pilot Project Mimamori for the Elderly

Okiden C Plus C (“CPC”), an investee of Inspire Investment Corporation, Okinawa-city, Ginowan-city, and Tomigusuku-city have started recruiting participants from people aged 65 and over in these 3 cities for the Cooperative Pilot Project Mimamori, always looking after the elderly with care.

On October 1, a cooperative pilot study was awarded the 2021 subsidy program for the promotion of specific projects in Okinawa by the Cabinet Office for the pilot project to build the Mimamori system using IT for the elderly.

In line with this, from today, applicants will be accepted from the elderly residents of the 3 cities as well as “Mimamoru” (watcher) families of neighboring residents. Wi-Fi sensing equipment will be installed in elderly people’s homes, and the pilot project will be conducted from December 2021 to March 2022 to verify the ideal implementation plan for remote Mimamori by the whole family and community, and preparations will be made for commercialization.

It is expected that the establishment of a social system for remoteMimamori using IT will contribute to solving the shortage of personnel responsible for Mimamori. Municipalities other than the three cities (including remote islands) facing similar issues will also be able to solve said issues. Therefore, the three participating municipalities will work together to accumulate a wide range of knowledge on remote Mimamori.
