Okiden C Plus C Selected for the Okinawa’s 2022 DX Promotion Project for the Development of Remote Islands and Depopulated Areas (the Elderly Support “Mimamori” Project)

We are pleased to announce that Okiden C plus C, an investee of Inspire Investment Corporation, has been selected as the recipient for Okinawa’s 2022 DX Promotion Project for the Development of Remote Islands and Depopulated Areas (the Elderly Support “Mimamori” Project)

While living in a remote island or a depopulated area in Okinawa prefecture could be more challenging compared to other areas, adoption of ICT services designed for residents enables people to alleviate or eliminate some of the inconveniences. This time, Mimamori (caring family monitor) sensors utilizing Wi-Fi sensing technology will be installed in the homes of the elderly people who wish to use them. The establishment of a support system for families and communities living apart so that elderly people can continue to live safely in a privacy-friendly manner in their familiar neighborhoods and support for the creation of safe and secure local communities will contribute to solving the social issues and create sustainable communities. In addition, initiatives to build the elderly support Mimamori system will be taken in cooperation with local village offices, social welfare councils, and local community associations.

Yasashii-Mimamori (compassion care family monitor), a privacy-friendly Mimamori sensor using digital technology, is a new type of Mimamori that utilizes the world’s most advanced Wi-Fi sensing technology which does not require a camera or microphone. With Yasashii-Mimamori, users can monitor their mother and father’s daily sleep and other activities through their smartphone.
